The Dark Knight is a huge box office success! Already they have surpassed, Batman Begins 205 Million run and Iron Man’s 314 million! Who would have thought, that a murderous clown could be so loved in the public eye. Batman & The Joker are now the #8 highest grossing movie of all time. But are they done yet?
The Dark Knight opened on July 18th 2008, it shattered both Dead mans chest and Spiderman 3 opening weekends. The movie has been praised by critics as transcending comic book movies! They call the Dark Knight, “The best crime movie of the decade” So whats next? Believe it or not, The Dark Knight is within striking distance of Spiderman’s 407 Million! Thats pretty impressive to say the least.
Now don’t get me wrong, I loved Spiderman! Infact I saw it 4 times after i got out of college. But the Green Goblin is just not evil enough. I mean sure he killed his entire board members and tired to kill Peter. But thats it. Gobby had a plan of action.

The Joker has no empathy and kills just to kill. There is no reason behind his madness. When he says “people will die, Im man of my word”, he means it and people die! Joker kills lots of people and usually laughs while doing it. He just enjoys killing and chaos! Thats what separates Green Goblin from The Joker.

Next to Darth Vader, The Joker is the baddest dude ever. Just ask Mark Hamil (Who played The Joker in Batman the animated series) Mark Hamil, will always be my favorite Joker though. Heath Ledgers performance was not just in your face, his Joker slowly pushes his way into your subconscious. Now thats pretty messed up if you ask me. The fact Heath died makes it all the more unreal when watching him. Sorry but as cool as Jack Nicholson was at least his Joker didn’t give me nightmares.
Still every actor in The Dark Knight brought their A game to the movie and it shows. I don’t know how far this Batman movie will go box office wise. But I can’t stress how good a move it really is. In an age of our history, where the lines between what is Good and Evil is blurred. The Dark Knight stands as testimony to this world, that when Evil emerges, good will always triumph over evil.
